JOB LOCATIONS: Plum Borough, West Deere, Southside Pittsburgh, Monroeville, Uniontown, Connellsville, Perryopolis, and many others.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The duties of the market operator/cashier are waiting on the public for fresh fruits, vegetables, and various country store items. The market operator keeps the market clean and fully stocked with available produce at all times. The market operator interacts with customers and accepts money from the customer in exchange for product.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Cleaning and organizing of market facilities. Be able to fill out inventory logs and handle money. 16 years of age or older. Must have acceptable attendance and be able to work well with people. Basic produce knowledge. Must have initiative and enthusiasm.
MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Not fundamental but part of the job in a less important manner.) General janitorial duties. Able to operate cash registers. Taking messages.
DESIRED QUALITIES OR SKILLS: People skills, punctuality, energy.
